Lucknow BJP has started preparing to repeat the history of 2018 by fielding eight candidates. Even in the 2018 Rajya Sabha elections, BJP had enough votes to make only eight candidates win, but it had fielded Dr. Anil Aggarwal as the 9th candidate.
Dr. Aggarwal is also the director and capitalist of many educational institutions. During that time, BJP had won the votes of BSP MLA Anil Singh, then SP MLA Nitin Agarwal, RLD’s Sahendra Singh Ramala. Dr. Anil Aggarwal won with the maximum votes.
This time too, BJP has started preparations to break into SP to make the 8th candidate Sanjay Seth win. Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna, Transport Minister Daya Shankar Singh and other leaders have been engaged in this work. Some SP MLAs can also be made to talk to top BJP leaders including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
If the MLA is absent then the minimum number of votes will reduce.
Election officer Brajbhushan Dubey says that the number of members in the assembly is currently 399. Based on that, a minimum of 37 votes has been estimated for a candidate to win. He says that the minimum number of votes required for a Rajya Sabha candidate to win will be calculated based on the total number of MLAs who vote. If the MLA remains absent then the minimum number of votes required for victory may also decrease.
